How to Make Kadhi Pakora: A Step-by-Step Guide
Kadhi is an Indian and Pakistan traditional food. I like kadhi with pakora very much, and it is one of my favorite dishes In Pakistani food especially kadhi and boiled rice. People cook kudhi in different methods.
Here I will tell you My easy recipe for making kudhi and pakora. let's see which ingredient is needed to make kudhi.
Ingredients
- 7 or 8 tablespoons oil.
- 1/2 kg fresh yogurt or dahi.
- 200 grams onion thinly sliced.
- 4 or 5 medium size green chilies, chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic and ginger paste
- 2 medium size tomatoes, chopped.
- 7 or 8 tablespoons Chickpea flour.
- 1.5 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1.5 tablespoon salt.
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds.
- 3 or 4 curry leaves.
- 1 teaspoon chopped dry coriander seeds.
Method.
- To make kudhi with yogurt first thing I have to do is, blend yogurt after adding some water to get a smooth thin paste of yogurt.
- Take a large bottomed pot or a karai and first put some oil and then add thinly sliced onion.
- When the onion is slightly brown add ginger and garlic paste to it
- After adding ginger and garlic paste stir just a minute and then add tomato, green chili, cumin seeds red chili powder, salt and turmeric powder, curry leaves, and coriander seeds.
- When the all ingredients mix well add Chickpea flour and mix it well in the paste.
- Add blended yogurt in it and stir until it starts boiling.
- Boil it for almost 30 minutes.
- put some fresh coriander leaves on it and switch off the flame.
- kudhi is ready.
Pakoara
Pakoara is a paste of vegetables, gram flour, and masalas. people like to cook and eat different kinds of pakoras like green chili, spinach, onion pakora, and eggplant slice dipped in Chickpea flour and masala paste fried in oil and some cut difference vegetables in small pieces and mix Chickpea flour-flour paste fry small size pakoras, here I write small size pakoras that we can add in kadhi and also take with chutney and tea.

Ingredients for making pakoara.
- 150 Chickpea flour onion thinly sliced.
- about 50 grams of spinach leaves cut into small pieces.
- 2 or 3 medium size chili, chopped.
- 2 medium size potatoes.
- some coriander leaves.
- 1.5 tablespoons red chili powder.
- 1 tablespoon salt.
- 1/2 cumin seeds.
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds.
- half a cup of yogurt.
- 1 lemon
- water according to the need.
- oil for frying.
method
Cut all vegetables into small pieces
Add red chili powder, salt cumin seeds(slightly blended) and coriander seeds(slightly blended)
Add Chickpea flour.
Add 1 lemon juice, and 250mg yogurt.
Mix all ingredients very well
Add water if needed or ingredients or paste is dry or thick.
How to fry.
- Take a deep pot to fry pakoras.
- Switch the flame on and put the pot on it wait until the pot gets hot well
- Put oil in pot to fry pakora
- Wait for a while until the oil gets heated and put a small size of pakora paste until it gets brown.
- When it gets brown put it out immediately.
